Michael Damian began studying classical piano at the tender age of six, under the tutelage of his mother, a classical pianist. By age eleven proficient on; piano, B-3 organ, clarinet, trombone and vibes, Michael joined forces with his brothers and sisters and took to the road in the family band "The Weirz". The progressive rock troupe toured the west coast during the 1970’s and in 1978 the family relocated to Los Angeles from San Diego.

In 1981 Michael recorded a remake of Eric Carmen's "She Did It". The record hit the Billboard Top 40 and landed Michael an appearance on Dick Clark's American Bandstand. After releasing two albums in Canada and Europe, Michael’s singing career was launched in the U.S. when his adaptation of “Rock On” soared to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, earning him his first gold record.

In 1993 Michael assumed the starring role of Joseph in the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical, 'Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat'. The show became the highest grossing revival in L.A. history and Michael continued on to New York where the show succeeded in breaking Broadway’s box office records. He was nominated for a Grammy, for the cast album.

Michael has released 6 albums and has had 8 Top 40 hits including “Was It Nothing At All” which earned him a BMI Song writing Award.

In December 2003, coming full circle Michael released his first Christmas album, a collaboration which includes members of his extensive family as well as world-class musicians.
