| Q:I've
been a big fan of your music and music videos since your career
began, and I was wondering if there is any way fans can get a
dvd or video compilation of the music videos? I have a vhs I bought
a while back with 3 songs on it, but I want more. :)
Thanks for inspiring me, keep putting out the great music. Love
the new song.
Robin
A: Dear Robin,
I do not have a video compilation out right now. I will mention
it to the record company. Hopefully there will be one to accompany
my new album.
Thanks for watching!
Q: Hello
Michael my name is Lulu and I am a big fan of yours. I was wondering
if you have ever been to Turkey? A while back I was watching a
show and I could of sworn that it was you I was shocked. I've
read some of your interviews and know that you were in Paris but
no mention that you were ever in Turkey doing TV shows. Was that
really you? And if yes, are you of Turkish background?
A:Hi
Lulu,
I have been to Turkey many times. After my first visit there,
I loved it so much that I took Janeen to Bodrum for our Honeymoon.
We spent a month in Istanbul while I was shooting the TV movie
"Death's Handwriting". I also recorded the duet "Bekletme" with
Pinar Ailin. We shot the video in the glorious city of Cappadoccia.
I am of Italian and Irish descent. Although I'm not Turkish but
do love the country.
Q:My question
is; Michael will you ever go back to Y&R full time?
#2 any advice for me as a hopeful music performer? I currently
sing full time in my church choir.
Melissa
A: Hi
Melissa,
I don't know what the future has in store for me.
As far as your music career goes, the best advice I can think
of is for you to sing and perform as much as possible and never
give up.
Q: Considering
your success in the industry, did you ever have any other career
aspirations? I'm sure, had you chosen a different path, you would
have had many disappointed fans!! Good luck in your future endeavors.
Jennifer. PS- Your song ROCK ON was one of my favorites to dance
to back in school!!
A: Thank you for listening
to Rock On. Glad you liked to dance to it!
In answer to your question, when I was young, all I ever wanted
was to be a baseball player. Unfortunately, my family moved to
a town with no team and I decided to join the family band instead.
That led to a new dream. Thanks to the support of my family and
all the fans, that dream came true.
Q:Hi Michael,
My name is Jana, I'm from Ontario Canada, I was wondering if your
new album will be sold here in Canada, I love your new single,
will it also be sold in Idaho, I'm going to school there and was
wondering if it will sold there as well.
Thank You,
Jana.
A: Hey Jana,
My new single, "Shadows in the Night" is available in stores in
the US. The new album will be released later this year and hopefully
available in both the US and Canada.
Q: Dear
Michael, I have watched you from 1981ish right before you first
went on Y & R as Danny Romalotti (Gina's little brother) and I
was wondering where can I get a copy of "She Did It" and " I Love
How you Love Me" on CD? As a teenager I had ordered it from your
fan club at Tigerbeat, but by the time it got to me (on record
then) it was broken in half so I never got to hear it at home
except when you sang it in concert on the show.
A: I am sorry to hear about
your broken record. I wish I had another one to send you. I've
had luck finding old music on eBay. You could also post a request
on my website messageboard. I'm sure some nice person would make
you a tape copy.
Q: Where
were you when you heard the news of 9/11 and describe your first
visit to NYC after it happened.
Rachelle
A: Dear Rachelle,
Janeen and I were editing
the pilot, "Red Eye" when we heard the news. We searched the building
for a TV and found a small monitor in a copyroom but with no sound.
12 of us were packed into the little room watching in silence
as the first tower fell. There were tears streaming down everyone's
faces. I'll never forget that moment. In the days following, Janeen
and I were showered with flowers and notes of sympathy. Even strangers
slipped notes of regret in our mailbox. We were so touched by
their empathy. When we finally went to ground zero, again we felt
that eerie silence.
Janeen and I are so incredibly fortunate that we didn't lose any
loved ones in that horrific tragedy. Our hearts and prayers go
out to those who did.
Q:
In Israel we are four years behind and that means that we are
watching that horrible, monster Phyllis (in today's episode we
deal with a trial that Danny and Phyllis have for Little Daniel
(I'm sure you can recall 4 years back!). Sadly, a while ago they
replaced the first actress who played Phyllis which was Michelle
to another one. Anyhow, I wanted to know how is she like in real
life and all....Niva
A: Niva, I'm not surprised
that you're asking this question because these Phyllis girls really
come off as conniving, sneaky nightmares. But I find it difficult
to talk about Sandra Nelson without including Michelle Stafford
because it's such an interesting comparison. They each have a
unique approach to the character of Phyllis which is probably
due to the fact that their personalities are very different. Michelle
Stafford is a blast to work with. She's very energetic and a little
kooky in a wonderful spontaneous way. And because of that, she
brought a lot of humor and passion to the role. Sandra Nelson
approaches her craft in a very intelligent way. She is clear-sighted
and stays very focused which is such a pleasure. To me her Phyllis
was a little more discerning and emotional. You know the writers
also tend to change things up when there is a new actress. It
always seems like the character takes a little shift in the writing
and then settles in. The fact is they are both wonderful actresses
and I hope I have the opportunity to work with them both again
in the future.
Thanks for watching!
Q: I met
Michael Damian and his band after he opened for Sheena Easton
at Chautauqua Lake, New York in 89 (give or take). I thought Michael
was the most polite person and I still have the autograph from
then :) My question is, what were the band members names? I have
a piece of paper with all their names and some of them I can't
make out. Please let me know who they are. Thanks Sarah
A:Hello
Sarah, it's been a long time.
Thank you for those kind words. My band menders names are; Larry
Weir, Joani Weir, Michael Parnell, Josh Freeze, Devin Ricky.
Q:What
are you up to and what work do you do beside acting and music?
A: I have
been writing, directing and producing film and TV.
I just finished the TV pilot "Red Eye" and I am working
on a new show called "Winning Streak".
Q: Would
you consider doing Joseph again or any other Broadway plays? Do
you keep in touch with Kelly and do you know what she is doing
now?
A: I loved doing Joseph
but have no plans for doing theater right now. I have not seen
or talked to Kelly but I heard she was performing in "Miss
Saigon".
Q: Hi Michael
I was wondering when your new album will be out. I have been a
fan since I was watching you on Young & the Restless, I always
hope you will get back with Christine maybe. Please let me know
Thank you Edie
A: Hi Edie, I am finishing
the new album right now and the first single is hitting radio
this week. Its called "Shadows in the night" - hope you'll like
it.
Q: Are
you a permanent resident of France now that you married Janeen
& you are filming there? Are you still an American citizen & will
we be seeing the show here? – Teri
A: YES I am an American
Citizen!!!!! I just work over there. I am back home in Los Angeles
working on new projects. We hope you will be able to see "Red
Eye" the new show that we film in Paris, soon in the good old
USA.
Q: Is there
any way I can get a copy of the "Just Say No!" musical hour episode
and the episode where you sang "The Heat Is On" in a scene at
the rehearsal hall? You have a great voice and those are excellent
episodes. Thanks, Ronnie.
A: Thank you very much
for those nice words. I'm sorry but I do not have access to those
tapes but we can post your question on my site and maybe someone
has a copy to lend to you. We will keep our fingers crossed.
Q: Have
you managed to learn French or any other languages while over
in France? Brenda
A: My French is a disaster!!!!!
But my wife Janeen saves me in all our French conversations. When
I try speaking French they smile and then look at me very strangely
and say, "sorry I don’t understand". I then try speaking
with a French accent (like that’s really going to help). LOL,
but somehow with or without Janeen there, I manage to get by.
