Enjoying crossover success in the worlds of music and theater, Michael captured the starring role in Andrew Lloyd Webber / Tim Rice's Broadway production, "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat". "Joseph" became the highest grossing revival in L.A. history. Michael continued on to New York where the show succeeded in breaking Broadway's box office records and was nominated for a Grammy for the cast album.

Starting life as a twenty minute pop cantata which was first performed in a London school in 1968, "Joseph" the musical underwent numerous transitions before it's London revival in 1991, upon which the US Production was based.
