Also known as "The Cold Heart of the Killer", "Murder on the Iditarod Trail" was adapted for television from the Sue Henry novel, "Survival in the Snow".

A murder mystery story set against the Alaskan Iditarod race, the movie also starred Kate Jackson as Jesse Arnold and Corbin Bernsen as Alex Jensen. Michael portrayed Bomber Gates a daredevil musher, who was fiercely determined to win both the race and the prize money.
